He remembers frequently ordering multiple bowls of chicken noodle soup in one sitting at the local diner and sipping broth for breakfast instead of cereal. While working at an Italian café in San Francisco in 2004, Evan was observed by his co-workers eating soup at almost every lunch break, and given the nickname “Brodino,” an obvious choice. Evan turned a lifelong love of soup into a small local business in 2017. He was unsatisfied with the soup options at the grocery store, where cans and boxes of broth and soup are filled with flavor enhancers and other ingredients in a poor attempt at emulating that homemade flavor.
